Adult Sickle Cell Disease Clinic
The Center for Sickle Cell Disease offers a weekly outpatient clinic for adults with sickle cell disease. The clinic is held each Tuesday from 8:00AM to 12:00 Noon on the First Floor, Suite C of the Howard University Hospital, 2041 Georgia Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20060.

During clinic hours, questions can be directed to (202) 865-1376. For after hours inquiries, please call Howard University Hospital at (202) 865-6100 and ask to speak to the hematology fellow on call.
Pediatric Sickle Cell Disease Services
We have an ongoing collaboration with the District of Columbia Greater Access to Pediatric Sickle Cell Services Project which is managed by Sohail R. Rana, MD, Professor of Pediatrics and Child Health, College of Medicine.
Pediatric patients with sickle cell disease are seen by Dr. Rana and his staff three days a week. Please call (202) 865-4583 for further information.
Sickle Cell Disease Patient Screening
Screening for sickle cell disease is offered free of charge by trained Hospital staff every Wednesday morning from 9:00AM to 12:00PM on the 1st Floor of Howard University Hospital, next to Admissions. Screening results generally take one week to become available. Educational material regarding sickle cell disease is also provided during these hours. Call (202) 865-4443 for more information.
Families Advocating for Children and Adults with Sickle Cell Disease
Group support meetings are held every even month on the fourth Saturday from 10:00AM to 12:00 Noon. Meetings are located at the UFCW 400 - Metro 400 Building, located at 4301 Garden City Drive, Hyattsville, MD 20785, on the Lower Level.
